IceToolz crank remover tool plus Allen and socket wrench

This IceToolz crank arm remover combination tool is an all-in-one tool for dismounting the crank arm. The combi tool is equipped with an 8mm Allen key, a 14mm-15mm socket wrench, a crank puller plus cap (04D2) for the hollow shaft and a handy handle, long enough to apply sufficient force. This IceToolz crank remover uses both Cr-Mo steel and Cr-V steel. The handle of the tool is provided with an ergonomic plastic grip. The IceToolz article number of this crank remover is 04S1.

Cr-Mo stands for chromium-molybdenum

Cr-Mo is the abbreviation of chromium molybdenum steel. A type of steel that is widely used in tool making because Cr-Mo has the properties that make the crank puller impact resistant and rigid. Would be a shame if the force applied to the crank puller is lost in bending the material. Cr-Mo is also widely used in cars, racing cars and motorcycles where the demands on the material are high.

CR-V stands for chrome vanadium

These combination pliers are made of Cr-V steel. CR-V = chromium vanadium and that is a type of steel which is an alloy between steel, carbon, chromium (around 0.8%), vanadium (around 0.1%) and some smaller amounts of other metals. This is possible in a proportion that can deviate slightly, but this ensures that the steel becomes hard and is better protected against corrosion. Chrome vanadium is one of the most widely used steels in tool making.
