At MIRANDA, we excel in everything we produce. In the effort for producing the best components available in the market, our design and engineering take us to test them in the hardest conditions to deliver the best performances. It’s all about the process.

Observation

This is a phase of a lot of dialogue with customers, in which we try to understand all their wishes and needs. Benchmarking is also used, not to copy our competition, but to be one step ahead of them.

Definition

In this phase we define what we want to do and how we are going to do it. We identify the problems to be solved and the features to be improved in relation to previous products.

Idealization

At this stage, our creatives in cooperation with our engineering team begin to work, doing their magic. Using sketching techniques and 3D modeling, it is at this stage that the concepts that will delight our customers are created.

Prototyping

The best concepts from phase 3 advance to prototyping: first using 3D printing and later using CNC machining. These prototypes allow us to make a detailed analysis of the aspects to be improved and whenever necessary go back to phase 3 to improve the concepts.

Test

Our products are tested by our Quality Department and by some of the best riders in the world, followed by testing and certification in independent laboratories.

Production

Our components are produced using the best raw materials to ensure maximum quality. Our machines are also of the highest range - and renewed whenever necessary - and the workforce is highly trained and specialized to reduce production failures to a minimum.

Market

Our products then go to the market, either for OEM or final costumers, through our webstore.

Portugal is a European Hub for bicycles and has been recognized as the biggest EU exporter of complete bikes in 2020. Miranda is paving that way, leading on components manufacturing year after year, reinforcing its position not only on production but also on R&D and “green” approach. In Europe, Miranda is nowadays the biggest cranks manufacturer, but that’s only a part of its multiple solutions where its know-how is applied.
In addition to increasing its product range, Miranda has grown its staff to over two hundred at its massive headquarters in Águeda, Portugal. This isn’t the end though. With an objective to enhance Miranda’s vision to promote bicycle mobility, to reduce car traffic, and to encourage employees to ride more, plans for a new e-bike area are already underway in Águeda.
These days Miranda supplies most of Europe’s top bicycle brands and exports its products to a wide range of countries. With each year, Miranda has successfully grown and strengthened its reputation as a quality manufacturer and reliable partner.

The future is for the ones who dare

Now there’s an even greater variety of motors with different configurations, and Miranda has been able to easily keep up with new demands for custom solutions thanks to its in-house production process located in Águeda, Portugal.
Miranda has already forged its reputation as an OEM supplier for e-bike parts — the next obvious step was to connect with more e-bike users.

An European standard as the main OEM supplier for ebike components

In 2019 Miranda introduced its first sponsored e-bike racer to test new components and bring attention to Miranda's extensive experience in crafting e-bikes components. Now the Miranda Factory Team has included e-bike races in its race calendar to increase brand exposure and to work as a test environment for new products.

Each product in this section is listed with standard specifications but there's one more feature to each listing, which is the option to supply a proprietary design to Miranda. This affords bike and motor brands the opportunity to customize components to their unique specifications.
