IceToolz crank adapter crank Hollowtech2
This IceToolz crank adapter is a Cr-Mo adapter for loosening or tightening a Shimano® Hollowtech2 bearing cup. The chrome-vanadium quality of this crank adapter guarantees a long service life. The Shimano® crank adapter can be used on 2 sides and with an 8mm Allen key (IceToolz 35V8) force can be applied. The reverse side of the crank adapter can be used to loosen the Shimano® crank cover nut. The IceToolz article number of this cone wrench is 11F3.
IceToolz Shimano® crank adapter for loosening and tightening crank and bearing
IceToolz is a brand that focuses on both the professional and the (better) do-it-yourselfer in the bicycle industry. But the ordinary cyclist also comes into the picture with handy maintenance products and easy-to-use items. IceToolz is a brand where you can find those things that make your hobby as a cyclist or mechanic or as a bicycle craftsman easier.
This IceToolz crank adapter is indispensable if a Shimano® crank has to be mounted or .dismounted. The cover nut can be loosened with the small 8-cam side of the crank adapter and the Shimano® Hollowtech2 bearing cups can be mounted or dismounted with the other side of the crank adapter, the 16-cam detacher. For the cover nut, the ridges on the side of the crank adapter are often sufficient to apply enough force, but the bearing cup assembly requires an 8mm Allen key (IceToolz 35V8).
If the bearing cups need to be tightened with a torque wrench (IceToolz E211), the IceToolz reducer D8D4 is the solution. This adapter can be clicked on the ½” torque wrench and the reverse side fits on this crank adapter.

Cr-Mo stands for chromium molybdenum
Cr-Mo is the abbreviation for chrome molybdenum steel. A type of steel that is widely used in tool making because Cr-Mo has the properties that make the crank adapter impact resistant and rigid. Would be a shame if the force applied to the crank adapter is lost in bending the material. Cr-Mo is also widely used in cars, racing cars and motorcycles where the requirements for the material are high.
