Cyclus “Chaincut‘r“ counter&cropping, single~12speed chains
Cyclus Chaincut'r counter and cutter is suitable for chains from BMX to 12-speed. Counts the desired number of chain links and then cuts the chain. For fixed mounting on a workbench.
Why count chain links?
Worn chains not only affect shifting performance, but they also accelerate wear on the chainring and cassette, requiring faster replacement. When a worn chain needs to be replaced, the number of links must be determined. Simply measuring the length is not enough as the chain is worn and stretched. That is why accurate counting of the number of links is important. This number of links then serves as a measurement for the new chain to be mounted.
Step 1: Insert chain, position first link on pin. Set counter to zero.
Step 2: Hang the chain on the hook. Let the chain count down completely to the desired number of links.
Step 3: Shorten chain. Push the pin through and out completely.
Step 4: Remove chain. Chain shortener is ready for next use.
